| Mamie spent the last weekend in June 2002 at her favorite retreat, the Estrella Inn in Palm Springs. Estrella, as you may know, means "star" in Spanish, so what better place for Mamie to chill out in the desert heat? The occasion for the weekend was a gala party at the Palms Springs retreat of Jamie Kabler, founder of the Hollywood 48-Hour Miracle Diet, and David Wills, writer and Mamie's close friend. The house is classic Hollywood mid-century style and loaded with pictures of Hollywood stars. More than 150 movers and shakers from Palm Springs and L.A. were in attendance. With the temperature well over 104, how could it NOT be a hot party! | ||
