The 50th Anniversary Thalians Ball
October 8, 2005
When the Thalians have their annual charity ball, it's always a gala occasion. This year, the 50th anniversary of the Thalians (whose motive force is the dynamic personalites of co-founders Debbie Reynolds and Ruta Lee), it was gala-squared. There were paparazzi galore lighting up the night with flashes at the Century Plaza hotel. It was a grand night of celebs celebrating themselves and the good works of the Thalians.

My favorite actress from the 1940's, Joan Leslie, who was a huge star at Warner Bros. She was a beauty then and is still a beauty today!

More of the posse at my table: Marvin Page, Eric Root (The Mane Tamer and Lana Turner's hair stylist), and Skip E. Lowe. Eric told me during dinner that "Lana just LOVED you!" Since Lana was one of my main influences when I was starting out, that was a giant compliment.

Lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge
October 1, 2005

A warm fall Saturday was just the time for an all girl luncheon at the Polo Lounge. I got together with my longtime pal, Carol Vitale, Playboy Playmate and TV talk show host, and our friend Anna Marlowe. Did we dish the dirt? I hope to shout we did, loves! What fun we had. (And, oooh, that Maitre d' at the Polo Lounge!) You can visit gorgeous Carol's website here!

The Beverly Hills Hotel entrance always had fabulous flowers.

And even though it was 85 degress outside, there was a roaring fire in the fireplace.

Carol and I posed after lunch. What could be better than spending an afternoon with good friends?
Carol and Anna are an hilarious pair. We hardly stopped laughing long enough to eat.
