Introducing Rainbow!

"Hi, everyone! I'm Rainbow! I just wanted to say hi to all my new fans in cyberspace--all the cyber pups and the people who love them. Keep an eye out here. You'll be seeing lots more of me!"
For several months I'd been thinking that Starlet should have a sister, so when my friend Alice Nolan at Nizhoni Minpins in Humboldt, AZ called to say she had a little blue girl, how could I resist? Her name is Rainbow, and, as you can see, she's a heavenly blue color with gorgeous tan eyebrows and markings. Starlet will have a new pal to get into mischief with. Boy, am I in for DOUBLE TROUBLE! I can't wait! Welcome, Rainbow!

Starlet pauses in her whirlwind day for a portrait.

"What's that in your hands?"

"Is it my ball? Oh, boy! Throw it!"
"I am the Amazing Micro Dog and I have many teeth. Throw me the friggin' ball!"

"You drop that thing anywhere and it's mine!"

"Oh, yeah! I got that sucker now!"

"Again! Again, please!"

"All right! You asked for it! I'm jumping!"

"I'm getting so tall I can almost reach it! And I can bark too!"

Oh boy, Mommy! Here it comes again!

Starlet models her first sweater for Crackers.

"When Crackers and I play, it's so much easier to let Crackers do the playing."

"C'mon, Crackers, play some more."

"Ho hum. Crackers went to bed. Time to watch the Lakers with mommy."

"After a chilly night, my sweater's off and the morning sun warms my bum."

All in the Family:
Starlet, China, Blossom, Crackers, and Lucky
November 9, 2003

Starlet is from Alice Nolan's Nizhoni MinPins in Humboldt, AZ. Alice knows her MinPins! She also has a wonderful site for great STUFF for your dog. If you love your dog, you will love Your Dog World dot com. Starlet will soon be wearing some of their lovely doggy jewelry.

Starlet playing the role of movie star: dawdling in bed, staring at herself in the mirror.

A girl always needs her beauty rest to stay, well, beautiful.

"What? My agent? Tell her I'll call back after breakfast. By the way, where is breakfast?"

"Just put the tray next to the bed and pass my pancakes."

"Okay, I'm ready to go. Where's the chauffeur?"

A girl also needs to keep her tan even, especially on her derriére.

Lucky, our adopted raven, is now decked out in full adult feathers, having literally fallen into our laps last April. Here he pauses during a breakfast of meal worms and green peas to sit for a portrait.

China, Blossom, and Crackers (barely visible) keep Lucky company on the balcony most mornings.

Lucky is fond of the camera, believing that all pubicity is good publicity.

China and Blossom keep an eye out for other neighborhood ravens.

Crackers and Lucky have a special relationship.

Once the parrots have gone inside, it's time for a morning bath.

"A little privacy, please! Could you close the window?"

China preens Blossom, while Lucky (center) waits his turn.

Welcome Starlett!

Happy baby Starlett and her mother saying goodbye as we leave for a Crosby, Stills, and Nash concert. (Front row tickets as the guests of our friend Buzz Person and David Crosby.) Tooo loud for little Min Pin ears! But we had fun!

Here's little Starlet gROWING! This is as I'm leaving for the Playboy Mansion and Hef's 50th Anniversary party for the magazine, on October 4th. Starlet is now a little over five months old. She wants to go see the cute bunnys, but has to wait patiently at home.

Our new baby Miniature Pinscher, Starlett.

You can tell this baby's got a happy home.

I see you.

Nap time for a busy puppy.
