Dog Days of Summer
At the Dog Show
June 27, 2004
I took the girls to the dog show at the Veteran's Center in Beverly Hills and what a time we had! It was the first dog show I'd ever attended. We met up with Alice Nolan and Joe, whose Nizhoni kennels produced our two girls.

Here's a proud mama with her darling. Starlet has that dreamy look to go with her blue collar.

Here we're arranging a group shot with Alice's blue Min Pin, Lee, Rainbow's half sister. Notice how much they look alike! Starlet is getting in character.
Here everybody gets their shit together and it's a lovely shot of all the girls.

Alice holds the two sisters while I cradle Starlet.

And, again, a proud mama and her girl. Starlet was so tired from all the excitement of so many dogs and people, she was falling asleep in my arms.

Rainbow is six months old today. Starlet is a little over a year old. Here they're posing with their fancy new collars from Your Dog World Dot Com

Rainbow Ear Update
Saturday, May 8, 2004

Since she had her ears done last month, it's been impossible to tear Rainbow away from the mirror.

After all, a girl's got to make sure everything looks just right.

"Yep, I think they look fine. What do you think, Starlet? Starlet?"

"Hey, Starlet! Wake up and look at my ears, okay?"
"Be quiet, Rainbow. I'm dreaming of a juicy steak."

In the PINK
Walkin' the Dogs
Friday April 30, 2004

A late Friday afternoon in Spring seemed like an ideal time to take the girls for a walk around the neighborhood. We checked out the new, just-finished Cannery Village Lofts around the corner, where there will soon be people living and working. Starlet and Rainbow were happy to get out and explore. You can barely see Rainbow's ears. Like a lot of us girls, she's "had a little work done". I'm au natural in these pix: no make up, just casual, all in pink. Thanks to The Sandalman of Newport for the fabulous boots!
