And Tiger!

Christmas Eve (Morning)
December 24, 2005

Off to breakfast with Starlet. It's a beaufiful day!

Back home after breakfast, Starlet's Christmas gift: a leather Harley Davidson jacket and cap.

"Rainbow and Tiger, look out..."

"...I'm a badass now, just like Mama!"

Bike Ride With Starlet
December 22, 2005

Starlet has developed a passion for bike riding. Here she is in the basket of my vintage Norwegian touring bike, nicknamed "The Big Swede". It's a chilly, foggy day and Starlet is warm and cozy in her hoodie. As you can see by the no-nonsense look in her eyes, she is ready to get this photo op over with and get on the road.

And we're off with the wind in our faces! Weeeee!

Portrait of the Chillun

This is one of those shots that comes along all too rarely: all the babies basking in the sun, all of them calm and quiet. This time I had the camera nearby to get it! In case you're new here, they are (l-r): Starlet, Rainbow, and Tiger.

My best pal, Julie Strain, with Baby and Jezzabell. Baby is the Minpin that got me started on that wonderful breed. So you could say that Julie and Baby are responsible for Starlet, Rainbow, and Tiger!

Starlet's Palm Springs Vacation
June 3, 2005

Starlet in the courtyard of her suite at the lovely Villa Royale in Palm Springs. Starlet allowed us to stay in her suite during the Film Noir Festival.

The George Hurrell version of Starlet's pose.

Starlet loves to bake on the hot rocks in the courtyard.

Starlet loves the Palm Springs weather. "Mommy, when's dinner?"

Here's Tiger!
April 10, 2005

Here is the newest addition to our family: Tiger. He is a black and rust Miniature Pinscher who we adopted from a friend. This little charmer is only seven months old and has already stolen everyone's heart. Here he's waiting while Rainbow takes a nap.

Enough already with naps. Who wants to play? Rainbow says, "Who woke me up?"

Starlet discovers that, yes, Tiger is a BOY. Tiger will, when he is a bit older, get his tubes tied, however. Sorry, no little ones for the girls!

Starlet looks up to ask, "Can't he keep his tubes for just a little while, Mommy? Can't we try them out just once?"

Sunday Morning
December 19, 2004
It's a lazy, puppy-style Sunday morning, so while mommy and daddy read the paper, it's time for a little tussle over a furry toy. You can readily see that Rainbow is in this for the laughs, while Starlet is dead serious about the toy.
After a tiring session, it's time to repair to bed and meditate. The neighbors draw an intense stare from a pint-sized guard dog.
And the camera draws a sweet look... ...and dramatic profile from a real K-9 beauty queen.
