| Take me out to the ball game. Baseball and I go way back. Since before Bo Belinsky and Dean Chance, I have loved the game. Thomas and I have a standing date for every L.A. Angels game that we can make time for. This is baseball of a little different stripe, however. More like the minor leagues, the Golden Baseball League is played in simpler surroundings, and played with more emotion than the "Bigs" and more heart. I was invited to throw out the first pitch for this game between the Fullerton Flyers and the Long Beach Armada. (Long Beach features Jose Canseco, author of "Juiced," the book that blew the lid off of steroid use in the major leagues.) It's all very kicked back and home town-like. My sincere thanks to the Fullerton Flyers organization and Dr. George Brennan for inviting me. It was great FUN! Except where noted, the photos below were shot by Bryan Crowe.
