A Blast from the Past

This picture of me, age 16, was found by my long-time friend Joan Whitney-Copeland. Joan and I have been friends since before either of us wants to remember.

This shot shows Joan and me in front of my new chartreuse Ford convertible. Joan put her model good looks to good use by going to Paris and becoming a top model for Christian Dior. I stayed on in Hollywood and the rest is history. Later she was under contract to Bob Hope's production company at Paramount and did some movies for him.

This is Joan and me on my night off in Vegas when I was working with Sammy Davis Jr. in 1973.

Another shot of Joan and me, this time with my hairdresser and longtime friend, Don Morand. We've all known each other since we were kids. It's a great joy still having the two of them as friends. Don is still doing fabulous hair at the chic Yuki's Salon on Sunset in Hollywood.

Sunday Brunch at Troquet

On our way out to shopping and lunch with friends. I'm wearing a silk screened tee shirt with a 50's Wolf designed by fabulous artist and pal, Elliott Mattice.

A close-up of Elliott's design.

This is Elliott's shirt with my new Christian Dior leather jacket. Tres sexy, no?

Starlet on her best behavior because she wants to go to lunch.

We take Starlet to lunch at a couple of restaurants where the proprietors are understanding.

But elegant Troquet is not the place even for a well-behaved young lady like Starlet.

She makes one last plea, but, sadly, she stays home with the birds.

After seared ahi salad and Troquet's killer hamburgers, my pal Barbra Tobias and I talk girl talk.

Barbra's husband Jerry on the left and my huz, Thomas after wine and Bloody Mary's.
