My first days at Universal with my favorite makeup man Monty Westmore and hairdresser Joanne St. Ogger. The public seemed to compare me to Marilyn Monroe.

My first leading man, Tony Curtis, and my first leading role in "The All American." There was electricity between Tony and me and we sparked off-screen as well as on.

NOT the result of my romance with Tony. Instead, my son Perry, fathered by Ray Anthony, came along early in my career. Here, in our first publicity pictures, Perry's six weeks old.

My first backlot publicity still from Universal. Not my signature! The publicity department routinely signed most of the actor's names.

This picture was taken in Kanab, Utah during shooting for the "Girl in Black Stockings" in 1956. Three months after Perry was born.
